About Howard L White Jr

Dedicated to serving our community with excellence and commitment

Howard L. White Jr

A Southern Story Rooted in Service

Howard L. White, Jr. is a proud alumnus of Southern University and A&M College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1989. From the very beginning, his Southern experience shaped him—he served as SGA President, Student Member of the Board of Supervisors, and various other leadership roles, laying the foundation for a lifetime of service and leadership.

Since graduating, Howard has remained deeply connected to Southern through continuous involvement with the Southern University Alumni Federation and various auxiliary groups. Howard has served as an active member of the Los Angeles, Houston, and the Home Chapters. Howard is currently serving in organizations such as the SU Hardwood Club, SEAS (Southern University Engineering Alumni Society), CSE Dean's Executive Leadership Council, and the Academic Homecoming Committee.

Beyond Southern, Howard's leadership extends across civic, professional, and community spaces. He has served on numerous boards, including 100 Black Men of Metro Baton Rouge (Development Chair), the Louisiana Association of Nonprofits Organization, the Louisiana Public Broadcasting Friends Board (Chair), and the Salvation Army.

A sought-after speaker and advocate, he is committed to building systems that last, empowering communities, and creating sustainable pathways for future generations. He has trained over 3,000 individuals on the utilization of AI.

Howard is a longtime member of Living Faith Christian Center and a Life Member of Alpha Phi Alpha. He is also the founder and owner of TOP Choice Products, where he has personally hired over 130 Southern University Students and mentored and trained thousands of other students.

Why Me, Why Now!

A Builder in Business and Community

I carried these lessons into his professional life as a professional sales and marketing rep and manager for DuPont Electronics and Nalco Chemical. It was as a Salesman in various corporate sales and marketing roles and as Founder and Owner of TOP Choice Products, where I built business grounded in relationships, execution, and long-term growth. His professional experience reinforced a core truth: sustainable success requires systems, discipline, and people working together toward shared goals.
